Durmstrang’s Student of the Week: Tarragon Zeverai
![]()
Tarragon is a strong willed character who doesn’t let many people into his life. He loves to be around female company, or on the Quidditch pitch practicing as much as possible. His school career means a lot to him, so doing well is always one of his top priorities in life. Tarragon is definately one of the cool kids around school, so in public will be very arrogant, but when alone can be charming and helpful when needed.
Hogwarts’ Student of the Week: Arien Auditoren
![]()
Airen is a somewhat shy kid. He has trouble making friends, but stands up for his beliefs and for others in need. He’s been trained in all forms of armed combat, and is a swordmage, one who can channel magic through a sword. He’s willing to listen to opinions and try to accept them, but he may try to avoid talking a bout that topic. He lives alone, and is very self sufficient. He’ll give advice if requested. He’s smart both book wise and street wise. He was raised a Christian, but he won’t go preaching to those who don’t want to listen.
Airen witnessed a massacre just a few weeks before he came to Hogwarts. He blames himself for their deaths. He was part of the European swordmage branch, but they were massacred by a splinter cell of Death Eaters. He killed them all that same night, and he was riddled with guilt. He spent a couple weeks in solitude and meditation. He soon came to terms with it, but he is still sad. He never had any friends when he was young, and thus, he doesn’t know how to react to certain situations.
Adult Character of the Week: Raven ‘The Sweeny’ Drake
![]()
Raven was created as a genetic experiment to see what would happen when magic was forceably injected into a child, and as a result she doesn’t have any real family expect the doctor who made her and even still she doesn’t regard him as anything but a monster, creating life, and then taking it away from his creations that weren’t as advanced as Raven. So being strong is everything to her. Without strength you die.
The German Times

The Durmstrang Institute of Magical Learning has long been known for its odd appointments of staff in the past but this year, Highmaster Dr. Florence Nettle has taken even this to extremes by taking on board none other than Raven “The Sweeney” Drake as Potion Mistress at the prestigious school. No reasons have been cited by the man himself for the appointment though curious reporters and board members were assured that the “Doctor does everything for a reason” by a member of staff who chooses to remain anonymous.
But what could be the reasoning behind unleashing a known psychopath on innocent children, the nation is asking as concerned parents continue to bombard the Durmstrang board of governors with owls on a daily basis. To find out, Zarna LeGuinn, field reporter took a trip to the school to meet the “wicked witch of Durmstrang” who, in her own words, prefers to be addressed as “The Sweeney”.
Drake (19) met with our reporter in her office well decorated with body parts she claims to have taken from students and enemies alike, not inspiring any faith in her teaching skills whatsoever. She continues to confide that she took the job because it offers her plenty of “test subjects.” Drake also makes no secret of the bloodlust that consumes her upon sight of people in general. In fact, an inside source reveals that the Potion Mistress can often be found cutting students and has gotten in trouble more than once for injuring them beyond recovery. Drake has yet to show any remorse for her behaviour and why the Highmaster tolerates it remains a mystery.
Drake was brought up in an asylum in Germany under rather questionable guardians and with an even more questionable education. Much of her past is shrouded in mystery and only her part in the current cold war has brought to light her existence. While no doubt skilled as an assassin, as someone who should be having a hand in educating our young children, she leaves a lot to be desired. The question, as always remains one of ethics. While someone like Drake may prove advantageous in battle, should she be exposed to the young minds of today so that more “Sweenies” of tomorrow will sprout under her tutelage? Has the threat of war so morally bankrupted our officials that we would buy our victory at the price of an army of “Drakes” ruling our land?
Pxyis sighed as she sat in her apartment, looking wistfully out the window to where she could distantly see Hogwart’s. She hadn’t joined the others in whatever compartments they were in, but instead sat by herself and wallowed in self-pity.
She couldn’t stand everyone’s excited talk about going home and seeing each other in the holidays and their families. To Pxyis, going home was a chore. Her parents were never home, and when they were they didn’t talk to her, for they held no love in their hearts for her.
Pxyis could feel the tears in her eyes, and there was no one about, so she let them fall. Her head rested against the chair as she cried. She really, really didn’t want to go home. She wanted to stay at Hogwart’s with her friend and have fun, and not sit around whilst her nanny/maid cleaned everything. Even wandering the gardens was boring.

Lucian had to chuckle when he found this room, this room that he was in looked as if it was purely made for someone to indulge their vanity in, for him, it was almost like hell, he hated being able to see only one thing for miles around, and it just so happened that this one thing was himself.
About to turn to walk out of the room he caught something in the reflection, an annoying bit of fluff that had gotten caught on his black hooded top, uniforms were for losers he had thought, and had point blank refused to wear one.
Sure he had been yelled at a bit bu that was nothing new to him.
Sighing he sat down and played with the aglet on the end of his shoe, boy this place was boring. It was like watching paint dry.
